Wedding in Frampton on Severn
This summer, I'm attending a wedding in Frampton on Severn. We're taking the train from London (Paddington to Stonehouse). We're only staying 2 days in the area until we return to London. I'm very unfamiliar with this location and I'm trying to figure out where can find a hotel/b&b that will be fairly close to the wedding but still leave us time to explore the area with our one day of leisure. Any suggestions?

Here is a nice B&B in Frampton http://www.thetrueheart.co.uk/
But to really explore the area, you might want to rent a car for a couple of days. Then you could stay anywhere.

Frampton is a pretty village, and that looks a nice B&B that janis has found for you. It's on the lane that leads to the church so you'll be able to walk to the wedding!
Will you be renting a car? This company operate close to Stonehouse, and would probably meet you at the station.

There are fairly limited bus services from Frampton, see them here...

Of course there are many more bus routes once you get to Gloucester or Stroud, but it's a lot of fuss and bother.
If you want a very nice hotel there's an Elizabethan manor house - Stonehouse Court

and at the other end of the scale...

Thank you both for the information. I was already looking into possibly staying at the True Heart, but wow, that Stonehouse Court manor looks beautiful.
Not sure about renting a car. If we stay at the True Heart (right near the wedding), is there much to see in this area in one day?

If you look at the True Heart's website, and click on the Things to Do, they detail what you can see and do ''within easy walkable/cyclable (sic) distance''.
Surprisingly, I don't see Berkeley Castle mentioned. You could get a taxi there, it is only a few miles from Frampton.
