Weather concern
Will be going to England October 7-19. Six days in London then on to Stratford Upon Avon, Thornbury, Cotswolds, Poole, Midhurst. Can anyone please tell me the daily temps or what I can expect from the "infamous" england weather Thanks so much

It's hard to be precise as regards to weather in England, but normally October is a pleasant month. Average daily high is around 55-60F, with a low of around 45-50F. You can have a fine autumn day (a bit like in New England), or a wet and windy one. It gets dark around 6 pm.

You can check monthly average highs and lows at
http://www.weather.com/activities/tr...r/?from=travfl
(Just type the city name in Option 2, then when you get the daily temperature, click "Best time to visit"
Another good site is www.weatherbase.com, and it's great because for larger cities, it shows (by month) the average number of days above 90 degrees or below 30 degrees, and (if I remember correctly) days of rainfall.

This year the Lord Mayor's Show (the formal inauguration for the coming year of the Lord Mayor of the ancient City) is on Saturday 8th. A parade in the morning (which you could probably watch more comfortably on TV), fireworks at 5pm, best watched from Blackfriars Bridge, or the south side of the Thames beside the Oxo Tower:
