Still loving your report.
So much great detail. We leave in 4 weeks (excited)!

Spending time in Scotland, The Netherlands, London and Northern England.

May I ask what sort of travel pass did you buy for London?

Oops forgot to ask how you got the Groupon deals for the UK?

Aussie_10 - we bought a 7 day travel card for London at a national rail station. You need to bring a passport sized photo that they will put on it. Then you can use the 2 for 1 discount tickets. We just brought a photo from home about the right size and the agent cut it to fit. You can print off the 2 for 1 discount tickets at home before you go.

If you look further back in my TR, you will find websites and details on how to get the Groupon deals. I listed websites for The Netherlands, France and UK as well as how to search on them.

So glad I ran across this older thread, as I'm planning for my Belgium/Paris trip in May. Great detail and very enjoyable report! I still have the Paris portion to finish reading, so am looking forward to that. Thanks!

lateinlifetraveler, fabulous trip report. We will be in London in May staying near Earl's Court. I will make note of Rucoletta Italian and the RV1 bus. If my handwriting was legible I love the idea of a journal which doubles as a memento. Since we are not going to Paris this year you have given me a little fix. Thanks.
