I've looked into renting vans from AutoEurope before, though I haven't done it yet. Their prices were around $1300-$1700 (U.S.) last time I checked (last December). Check them out at www.autoeurope.com

For $1000-$2000 for 6 weeks you'd be lucky to get a Fiat Panda! I'm afraid your budget is terribly unrealistic, even for a regular-sized car in the height of the tourist season. Then there is gas--very pricey. Sorry, don't have any constructive counter suggestions...

Take a look a leasing rather than renting. www.autoeurope.com, www.ideamerge.com,www.renaultusa.com<BR>My guess for 6 weeks in summer $2500-$2800. Good Luck - Tom
