We leave in a week - some gaps to finalise.

Hello Folks. Have spent a great deal of time reading posts on this site but haven't placed too many of my own. We leave in a week - 3 days in London, 5 in Rome, 4 in Sorrento, 8 with family and then Croatia, Venice, Paris.

Need help getting from Ancona to Split where we want to spend three days and then get to Venice - is this possible via train or plane?

From Venice need to travel to Paris - what is the best way ?? Plane or train?

Please help - need some expertise.
Many thanks

There was a "ro" (Rosemary? G?) here a few years ago - - are you her? Maybe even corresponded with me about a trip to the south of France or Italy.

I see you have posted a couple of time with few or no responses. You could probably get more or better replies if you would mention what you are actually asking in the message header.

There is Ancona-Split ferry service with info on http://www.dalmacija.net/by_sea.htm - - I have no personal knowledge of, nor experience with this route. And the same company has service from Split to Trieste. Easdy train connection from Trieste to Venice.

I would fly from Venice to Paris. There is daily low cost service on http://w3.volareweb.com/en/timetable.html into Orly (used to be into Beauvais, I think - - much less convenient).

Best wishes,

Rex

Hey Rex - thanx for the prompt reply ! Not the same one..I have heard that getting from Orly is quite a trip - is that true? What would be the best way to get into Paris?

Hi ro

You might find this link to Orly helpful.

Orly is the "LaGuardia" of Paris; closer in than CDG. Haven't looked at Ira's lionk, but it shouldn't be difficult at all. Beauvais is a bit of a different story. It's the "Teterboro", or "Islip" of Paris.
