In the US, there is an extra travel tax on each ticket purchased that was legislated to be used *only* for airport safety. Instead, it's being used for creating malls in airports and landscaping the meridian strips. <BR> <BR>So, what makes us think that airport authorities will use ADDITIONAL tax/fees for their correct purpose?

Excellent comments, Jim & Dan. <BR> <BR>Security always comes with a cost and, regardless of what people say right now, it will be interesting to see how much new security measures will cost -- in both dollars and inconvenience -- and how people will react to them once they're in place.
