If you can wait a few days, I will ask my spouse, who is there this week and returns Saturday from...ummm... about the 5th business trip to Warsaw.

As a general principle: "You think it's awful the first time but it grows on you."

BTW: This week, 22 degrees, cherry trees in blossom, street singers on the street-corners.

Tough question - if i reply honestly i'd say 3 days in Warsaw were two days too much, in my experience. At least if you're contemplating typical tourists'interests.

by some for being too ephemeral

Try to find some day trips!

You can do few day trips from Warsaw cince it is centrally located - So Krakow and posibly Gdansk or Torun be possible ... Krakow and Torun are about 3hrs by train ...

As for just Warsaw ...
"Old City"
Lazienki Palace -> http://www.lazienki-krolewskie.pl/eng/
Wialnow Palace -> http://www.wilanow-palac.art.pl/index_en.php
should probably be on top of your list ...
bit outside of Warsaw (check in hotel info desk for tours)
Kampinos National Park -> http://www.mos.gov.pl/kzpn/en/kamp_gb.htm

For other ideas check sites like:

Enjoy!!!
