Walking trip - looking for guidance

Hi all,

My husband and I are planning a trip to Ireland and we would like to do a 5-7 day self-guided walk. I have looked at some providers' websites but am getting thoroughly confused by all the possibilities. If you have done a walking tour your guidance would be appreciated! We are looking for terrain that is not too challenging - my husband has visions of lush countryside, rock walls, and sheep. Where can we get that??

If you can recommend a tour company I would be grateful as well. I have checked out a few but always looking for first-hand referrals.

Finally, and I know this is a tough one, but if you could give me your thoughts on the best time of year to do this, it would be very helpful. We live in the Pacific Northwest and can handle rain - however we are hoping to pick a time of year that gives us the best chance at SOME dry days. Thanks so much!
