We will be arriving via Channel Train at Gare Du Nord & are staying at the Balcons... what's the best way to get there? Would it be too long of a walk?? <BR>

Where is the Balcons? If it's on the left bank, the answer is YES. I did that once as a 21 year old with a heavy backpack. Ouch.

No, not even a maybe for walking. The Grand Hotel des Balcons is on 3 rue Casimir-Delavigne in the 6th arrondissement, on the left bank. Metro stop Odeon. <BR>Gare du Nord is on the right bank in the 10th arrond. <BR>From Gare du Nord, take a taxi unless your budget is very very tight or your luggage is very very light. Train and metro stations have lots of long corridors and flights of stairs which even wheels on your luggage won't help you with. <BR>Otherwise, you could do the metro. <BR> <BR>If you don't have one, you really would do well to get a map of Paris before you go. <BR>

Too far to walk with luggage; you can get a cab, or take the metro (line 4 direction Porte d'Orleans get off at Odeon) or the RER (B line southbound, get off at Luxembourg - this is a bit longer of a walk)
