<i>"Brexit, whatever it turns out to be, will probably put new obstacles to your desire to live in the UK."</i>

Possibly the most absurd post in the history of the internet.

The opinion poll that sparked this Brexit rumpus off asked whether Britons wanted to leave the EU. What on earth has that got to do with how easy it might be for Americans to travel here?

In the debate about the poll, it was the almost unanimous opinion of all Leave advocates that leaving would mean closer physical and commercial links with the world outside Europe.

True: some of the madder Remain advocates ("Remoaners" as they're known) have - like many American Democrats - used the poll to demonstrate the innate evilness of their opponents. But even at their vilest, they've not claimed leaving would make life tougher for non-European visitors.

This thread is starting to sound like a radio talk show. Mark may feel like moving on again.
