Visit length advice - Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn
Hello,
We are travelling between Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki before going to Saariselka, Levi, Tromso and then leaving from Helsinki in December. Two adults and one ten year old child.
Currently have four nights Copenhagen, three nights Stockholm, overnight ferry to Helsinki and then overnight train to Rovaniemi.
Other options are four nights Copenhagen, two nights Stockholm, overnight ferry, one night Helsinki, overnight train.
Or Copenhagen 3 nights, Stockholm 2 nights, overnight ferry to Tallinn, 2 nights Tallinn then ferry to Helsinki for overnight train.
Would appreciate thoughts on time in each city?

looks good to me
Obviously going to cold and short days in each city. Tallinn is interesting enough but not really as interesting as the other three.

I wanted more time in these cities than you seem to be allowing. For my interests: 4 days (5 nights) in Copenhagen, 5 or 6 nights (at least 4, if not 5) days in Stockholm; at least 2 full days in Helsinki. For context: I was there in the height of summer and I travel hard.
How much time will suit you really depends on what YOU want to see and experience. My recommendation: Consult a good guidebook or two, decide what YOU want to see and experience, mark up a calendar, and see what works.
Enjoy!

I assume you know the days will be extremely short. Like sunrise around 10:30 AM and sunset approx 4:15 PM (depending on the exact dates)
Your current allocation of days is fine -- just realize much of your time will be in the dark.

Thank you so much for the responses 🙂. Yes, aware it will be short days - just enjoy seeing cities - food and architecture, and with a child Christmas markets, Tivoli and anything Norse mythology related. Trying to figure out if longer to explore in winter makes sense over fitting in Tallinn which would make for more compact visits. One day would like to revisit in summer.
