Visa help please!!!
Good day,
I really hope that there is someone that can assist me. I am a South African citizen, currently living with my husband in France. I have a Carte de Sejour.
I asked for a Recipesse and received that, but I need to prolong my Recipesse by another month as I am leaving for SA and only returning after the date of my validity of the Recipisse. I tried making an appointment on the internet for this - but no success. I also can not phone them.
Has anyone ever been in this similar situation and what suggestions do you have?
Thanks in advance...

Sorry - but this is not the place to ask complicated visa questions. The people here are primarily tourists and simply do not have knowledge of detailed visa issues for someone of another nationality.
If I were you I would contact a local attorney specializing in this area of law for specific advice.

That's not true. Improviser has the answers. And what's-her-name.

Since you already have the proper French papers, but running out of time, can't you go to the préfecture of your département for further information? Going there in person might be more productive than trying the internet.
