Virgin Atlantic airfare sale Tues-Wed only!

Hope some of you can take advantage....

"Buy one ticket at their regular low price to London and you can buy a second companion ticket for $1. The offer is good for travel between now and 18 June, but is only on sale tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday....

With Virgin's regular low fares of only $278 from New York and $418 from Los Angeles, the cost per person averages out at an unheard of $140 from New York or $210 from Los Angeles. Yes, these are roundtrip fares, and for travel in a lovely time of year rather than mid-winter!!!

Taxes of about $95 are, of course, extra, and unlike Virgin, Uncle Sam doesn't give a discount on the second person traveling.

The fares are available from New York, Boston, Washington, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco. If you live somewhere else, buy one of the discounted domestic fares that are currently on special from several of the domestic airlines to get to one of these cities.

Visit the Virgin Atlantic website at http://www.virginatlantic.com/ally for full details and rules on this fare. Their website also has details of discounted London hotels available through Virgin Vacations."

Lesli's post is a lot more intelligible than my earlier one. The particular itinerary I checked, May 21-31, yielded a total $638 ($317 ea) price for two, still not bad from the West Coast.

The sale is good for travel 4/15 - 6/18.

Sounds like a deal to me. I paid $170 RT (plus tax)from Orlando in March and thought that was great.

I don't see that Orlando is included in the current sale.

just a negetive comment...the site was down most of the day on wednesday.....the site did not function after mid-night....you would think they would extend the sale if their portals did not work....the message said they were performing maintenance on the site????

Worked for me Wednesday evening (West Coast time). Scored two tickets for about $650 after everything was said and done.
