Viking Yacht Cruise
Has anyone taken a Viking Yacht Cruise of Greece. Their 10 day Cruise and Stay package sounds enticing...
We plan to travel June 2006.
Any feedback would be appreciated!!

It looks like half your time will be spent in transit from island to island. Is that OK with you?
I think you can see and do what you want for less money on your own, even if you duplicate the Viking Itinerary. There are ferries with sleeping cabins available for the overnight trips and in June the ferries are frequent and plentiful.

Is this the company run by two brothers with a Swedish mother (I think)? If so, in 1996 we took a cruise on the Viking Star thru the Cyclades ... doubt it is still in service. But we had a wonderful time. Only 20 passengers on board.. plenty of time to explore on one's own .. hit all the high spots (for us). Also, it was inexpensive. After the cruise we rented a car and drove thru the Pelopenese (spelling... but I'm too tired to check). A lovely trip.. highpoint was a stop in Monevasia. The Viking trip wasn't luxurious, but since we're not sailors it was the closest thing to sailing on one's own....we had envied friends who've sailed in Greece many times. (and of course Viking was a lot cheaper -
