23 and going to London for the first time - where would you stay?
I would love some help for my daughter.
She will be in London on her own towards the end of July.
She was in London in 2009 with me and we only stayed for 2 days.
And of course no time on her own,
This time it is by herself until she meets up with a friend to go traveling.
I have suggested to her Knightsbridge, Kennsington, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Chelsea and Soho as areas that would be good as a base.
Perhaps Earls Court as well.
Am I right?
Also any hotel suggestions would be really appreciated.
Budget would be mid range - want nice, clean and safe.
thanks in advance.

Pointless fussing maybe, but as a 23 year old I would much rather have stayed in Soho than in any of the other areas mentioned.
So much more lively than the other areas and more chance ( I think) of being able to meet people if you're on your own.
