VGT at OF in MUN during SEP

Recently, in SEP, along with my DW (LOML!), MAD and TAS, I travelled from MEL (AUS) to FRA (D). We flew to SIN on a SAL 767, in ECO. We had a S/O at SIN, and took the MRT from CHA to Downtown. Our hotel was in CT, but we shopped mainly in OR. Next day we flew from SIN to FRA in a 747B. At FRA, we went to the DBRZ and bought a BT to get us by train to MUN. The 4 of us travelled for a total of €27 in S/C. First, however, we had to get from FRA (which is in HES) to Kahl (which is in BAY). The BT can only be used in BAY, and cannot be used on ICE or IC. However, there are plenty of IE, RE, RB and SB, and they are fast and frequent. At MUN, we used the MVV to get near our hotel. We stayed at an ETAP which was convenient and comfortable enough. (For a little more, IBIS was also available: they are both part of ACCOR.) We were in MUN for the OF, and had a table one night at the HBH: strange to think that that is where the original meetings of the NSDAP occurred. Apart from the activities associated with the OF, MUN provided plenty else to see and do. We arranged all of our accommodation via the ACCOR site before we left, and IMHO everything worked out well. Q.E.D.

Sounds like an OK trip. Those ACCOR hotels, how was the QC? I'm going to BRU for an ASCAP thingy and might stay in one. I was wondering if they have HDTV, and do they have a DVD player. If they don't, that's no prob as I'll have my IBM laptop and it has a DVD drive. And was there a CD player in room? Sorry for all the Q's but I'm a little OCD when I travel. Did you by any chance use a MBNA VISA card an any ATMs, and if so did you have any trouble with them being accepted? After the mtg I thought I'd scoot over to NATO HQ and have a quick look-see around. Then it's off to GLA via AMS on KLM for a little bit. I assume BRU and the UK are both on GMT -- have to check on that...

I used a CBA VISA CC to pay at the hotels, and a MECU VISA DC at ATMs. All OK. No GMT for BRU, I fear. WIFI access at some IBIS, and sometimes a free IT is provided for guests. Bit of a PIAP really. Sorry to RSVP so briefly but I'm off the the AGM of the local GC. We're on DST here, and it does not get dark till after 2100, so there's time for a few holes if I'm PDQ. After the AGM, I'll have a few G&Ts, and life will be OK. CU later.
