Very brief European ski trip
We are considering a very short family get together in Europe this winter. Can anyone suggest a ski area which is not terribly far from a major airport. Moderate prices and slopes for skiers of varying abilities would be pluses. Italy or France might be appealling options. Thanks!

Hi, Found a neat website for you. You can click on Austria, Switzerland, France or Italy and it is www.actionsites.com. I found it by using Alta Vista Search Engine and typing in skiing in +Europe. The + sign makes sure the Search Engine will pick of that word as I had it brining up skiing in U.S. There are other sites on the individual countries as well.

There's a terrific mountain house and hotel run by Dutch people in Switzerland call Val Sinestra which is east of St. Moritz. The prices are moderate (for Switzerland). In the mountain house, you are given three meals a day (pack your own lunch at breakfast) and you help set the table and wash dishes. A bus brings you down to Sent, a small mountain village, from which you can take city buses short distances to downhill skiing and cross country. The operation also runs busses between Holland and Switzerland on the weekends.
