Venice Webcam!
While doing my endless trip research for our upcoming Venice/Bellagio trip, I came across this webcam in Venice. Beware, it can be addictive.

I just checked out the Venice webcam and it is about 2:30 a.m. there, but I will check it out in daylight. Not much happening now. I love the Sorrento webcam and I think this one also will help me get my Italy fix until I get can back there next year. There are worse things to be addicted to! Thanks for the info!

Hmmm. I believe I posted this website last month, the only part that's changed is that Venice has a new mayor, as the Venetians wanted their old mayor back:

Traveller-I just returned from Venice a few weeks ago, they don't allow tours on Sunday-but they will allow people to come in and look around outside the hours of Mass in the afternoon.
Speaking of this age of the internet-do you want to see what the tourist traffic looks like right now outside the Basilico? There are 3 live webcams set up in the Piazza at the Venice commune website-a great source of information for the traveler, btw-the mayor of Venice is very progressive thinking (a native Venetian, he was a distinguished visiting economics Prof. 3 different times at NYU, so is very assimilated into American culture).
I love to look at the Piazza late at night, or on Sunday afternoon-just to get an idea of the tourist traffic-it gives one such a sense of omniscience!

Great webcams, thanks. Don't forget this old standby where you can watch vaporetti come and go.
