Venice Vaparetto fees
Last year I spent a week in Venice and purchased a pass for the vaparetto I was noticed the week I was there I was never asked to present the pass to anyone on the vaparetto .Did anyone have the same experience?

In several trips I never saw anyone ask to see the pass, but on one recent trip, when we got on at the first ride from the station, two men hopped on who checked everybody's ticket. And twice more I think it was that week, I had them check passes. I do know from watching them write citations to those who didn't have tickets, that I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Hello miaspapa, yes I have been asked to show my ticket a few times. In any case I don't want to be a bad guest in a host country and consequently always pay for public transportation just like I do at home.

loveitaly, Of course I agree ,maybe a college student could but not at my age never.The reason for curiosity was more for the residents I never saw them with tickets.Perhaps they have special passes ?Nice to hear from the lady who paints with her words.lol
