Is it possible to take the train to Florence from Venice for the day and still have time to see something in Florence?

Given the high cost of lodging in Venice, I can not see spending 6 hrs roundtrip (plus time to get from hotel to train station and back in Venice - - not trivial, sometimes), to go to Florence for a day.<BR><BR>You'd be much wiser to relocate to see Florence. <BR><BR>Best wishes,<BR><BR>Rex<BR>
