Venice locatio

Hi, Can anyone advise me as to whether this apartment is in a convenient "walkable" location? Is it a good area to stay in for a family with only a couple of days in Venice?

You're in a handy part of Cannaregio. I have stayed VERY near there, and found it easy to walk, or to catch a vaporetto to the areas of Venice you'll probably want to see.

I am assuming your children are not too young, needing to be carried from time to time!

Have a wonderful time.

It's a great location. It is a bit of a walk to certain parts of the city for sure but it is also handy to quite a few vaporetto stops. If you are taking the train in, it is especially nice because it is not too far to the train station.

The apartment looks really nice too.

Thanks for your help. I don't suppose you know of any foolproof method of detecting if it is a scam or not??

The rental has a bunch of reviews... why do you think it is a scam?

If you think this apartment is a scam (and why would you? I don't), then don't waste spiritual energy worrying about it - just look at another one.

There are over 100 VRBO apartments in Venice and probably hundreds more through other agencies.

Dear Newbi,
There's a well-known rule - but, like every rule, it has exceptions - that says, "If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is." Filippo's apartment certainly looks good, but, if the rental is similar to others of a similar quality, then it is not too good to be true. It is usual for apartment owners to require a hefty cash deposit to book an apartment, and to demand payment in full on the day you arrive, so don't let that put you off. The reviews are too well written and too many to be a scam, imo.

Thanks everyone. The internet can be a spooky place. I went onto some sight that scared the ----out of me suggesting that just about all these rentals were a scam. I was then interested in an apartment in London which mentioned the owners name which I then googled only to find that she was a scammer with multiple court proceedings/investigations currently being undertaken and there she was as large as life on VRBO!
I am now a tad paranoid
