Venice - I "owe" this to all of you fellow fodors.com forumists - Comments are welcome!
Well, back in October 2007 I was asking all friends here at the fodors.com forum what to do and what to see in Venice (check http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=35086214)
I followed your suggestions and now it's time to give back something, because I feel I "owe" it to you:
Your suggestions lead me to take these Venice photos that I am dedicating to all of you for being so helpful:
http://www.larios.gr/gallery_115918.html
Even more, you are invited to download and enjoy the MOST RELAXING 5-min photo slideshow with music from Venice, that I prepared having taken all your advice. Get it here: http://www.larios.gr/section116382.html
Your comments at the guestbook are always welcome ... (please bear in mind though that I am just a hobbyist photographer and not a pro or anything!):

Thank you all again for being so helpful and wishes for a happy new year!
Regards,
Yannis

What lovely photos! I've been working my way through (not a difficult chore, I can assure you!) the Donna Leon series of novels with Guido Brunetti, comm. of police in Venice, as the main character and as a result I have become fascinated with the city. Thanks!

Thanks for your kind comments!
I really appreciate it...
I spent quite a lot of time shooting Venice at the hours and at the way I thought it deserves to be presented... It sooo much different when you escape the crowds...
Also, Venice was the reason I rushed for my new Canon 40D.
The 5-min photo Slideshow (with accompanying music from Kathrine Jenkins) that I have prepared, tries to convey a bit of how I felt at this place. If you have not checked it please do and tell me what you think.
(Download it here: http://www.larios.gr/section116382.html)
Thanks for your warm comments and for the feedback at my guestbook (http://www.larios.gr/guestbook.html)
Kind regards,
Yannis

Hi Yannis!
WOW, All of your slideshows are simply amazing! Thank you so much for posting them and sharing them with us. I'm guessing you like the new Canon? I'm in the market for a new camera myself, although I am nowhere near as accomplished a photographer ;-)

Yannis ~ Nice exploitation of the four prime hours of the day: the ones before and after sunrise and sunset.
Lots of images strike a note, my favorite being the overlapping reflections of the yellow facade and the black gondola prows.
Thanks ~ TC
