Venice hotel Kette

Shari: My mother is a travel agent and is very selective about the places she stays, and she loved the Kette. She said the rooms are very nice w/ good-sized baths and pretty common areas. I think it is off a side street near SM, so quiet, yet well-located. Cannot say about transportation from train station; think she arranged hers.

Good evening, Shari Have not stayed at the KETTE but have used the DO POZZI
quite a few times, however from the outside the Kette looks very good and especially is is not located on a main
calle such as the Marzo XXII.. Don't think they have hotel transportation to and from the Ferrovia, however you can
take the vaporetto from the stop to the
left of the station front steps to the
stop of S. Marco, going up the calle Vallaresso, turn left at the first
corner (by cambio) onto the Sal San Moise, over the small bridge and onto
the Larga XXII Marzo turning right at the first street to the right , the calle d. cristo, and the Kette. About
two blocks total.. You can also take a water taxi but at much more additional
cost, but can't be sure where they would
drop you off in relation to the hotel.
Richard of LaGrange Park, Il..
fir

We stayed at the Kette three years ago and enjoyed it very much. We had a good size bedroom and bath. Our room was above a small canal and we could watch the boats deliver food and laundry to the hotel. We took a water taxi to the hotel for it docked at the hotel's landing. Be warned it was very expensive. The hotel's location is a short walk to San Marco Square and it is easy to get around Venice from this location.

Thanks for the great information. I think that will work out great for me.I think I will attempt to take the vaporetto now that I know what to expect.I am already gathering restaurant information and hope to have reservations in place before I arrive.
