Can't comment on the hotel, but we enjoyed our gondola ride near sunset. Very romantic. Of course, we renewed our vows for our wedding anniversary on the ride, so that is naturally my best memory of Venice.

My best memory from Venice is the Secret Itinerary at the Palazzo Ducale (Doge?s Palace). The guide was great and it was an interesting tour...and it was so HOT. We were there in June last year and we had a bit of a heat wave...I have posted a trip report with some pictures from our trip on my personal homepage gardkarlsen.com
