Venice Card from Venice Connected vs Hello Venezia

Help me see what I'm missing! Venice Card from Venice Connected transport only is 42.50 for 7 days vs 68 for Hello Venezia. Museum Card for Venice Connected is 16 E but included in 96E Hello Venezia card that would also include churches.

So for 42.50 + 16 (transport and museums) I seemingly pay Venice Connected 58.50 what I would pay Hello Venezia 96E (getting the churches as well). Chorus Pass for churches is 13E but not going to many. What am I missing?

I hope you get an answer. I'm totally confused as well. We get to Venice on the 21st. I'm so confused that my hubby and I figure we'll just wing it when we get there.

Wrote to our hotel to try to get this figured out. 9 Euros for chorus pass (churches). Venice Card includes museums, churches and transport. Seems to much $$ for us - yes, 96 euros and we're not even sure we'll take that many vaporetti nor go to that many museums. And the Guggenheim and Accademia are not covered.

I see the Museum Pass on Venice Connected as 16 euros. Now thinking that may be a deal - but have to look at each museum it covers and see which we would want to see and how much they would cost individually.

BTW - And correct me, please, if I'm wrong. The day that you put in when you order the Museum Pass as the day you will pick it up - that is not the only day you can use it, is it?

I think the museum pass is good for 6 months. There is a little information icon under each item on the Venice Connected web site that explains how each item works.

Venice connected has a lot to learn. They say "contact us", but don't reply. They say that wi=fi is includer with things in the "Leisure" category, but I could not find such a category.

They are not the only ones that err. The Comune installed chairlifts at six bridges, but even the people who give out the keys can't say what they are like when working and they have not replied to my asking who to call to find out which are not working.

Venice Connected makes no adjustments, so be very careful not to make any mistakes.

VC and Hellovenezia seem to compete and cooperate. It is a confusing arrangement. When I told my Venetian friend of a suggestion I made to simplify a procedure, she said "They won't like it. Not complicated enough."
