Hey, Peter
Don't bait those Poms too much about the Ashes.
Clarkie's back has gone (again) and Davy Warner's in strife about something.
And...annhig is coming out to help them beat us
At least she remembers Harmison's first ball to third slip - a high point of that tour!

Many thanks for your little nuggets of info - so interesting when one is heading back to Venice with all the "major site" boxes already ticked and on the lookout for the calle less travelled.
Safe home!

Peter,
Thank you for all the great input on Venice. You sir, are a treasure trove of great ideas and information.
My one question to you: We have also booked with Giancarlo of Vivivenezia. What is the proper tip to leave (if any) after the tour?
Thank you

Bob, I’m trying to remember if we left a tip, and I’m not sure that we did tip. So it was obviously not a big deal with us. Vivivenezia is a volunteer group, so a tip would be a nice thing to do. Maybe 10 euro would be good, depending on the size of your group. You’ll need to pay for the trip in cash – I’m pretty sure that there is no credit card facility.
With a bit of luck, your boat trip will include going under the church of San Stefano. It’s fun to do that, and not too many visitors to Venice get to do it.
Enjoy Venice!
