I'm confused. It is only about a five minute covered walk from the docks to the airport. We just did the Aliguna from Venice to the airport a couple of weeks ago, arriving at the new docks. What's the point of a shuttle?

Hi Neo, welcome home! For some people it is a problem and I think it is great that the shuttle is now in service again. 1€ is sure resonable. And Baily, I love the website, it really is fun to read. Thanks!!

Neo-I didn't find the walk a bother at all-but apparently some people really do-I think it's a bit more than 5 minutes though-but not much more.

The problem is for some older travellers, those with physical mobility problems, families with little ones and of course those that overpack, lol. It is nice that there is once again a choice.

Yes, I agree LItaly-I'm just wondering though whether the early morning shuttles will really arrive on time-as so many travelers leave on 6:15am flights-there have been complaints in the past about no shuttles in the early morning.

Good question Girlspy, I don't know. Hopefully a Fodorite with a very early flight will be able to tell us about their experience with the shuttle. Real early morning flights out of Venice, I hate them, don't you?

I would never even consider a 6-8am flight out of Venice-totally out of the question for me.
