Jane: not reorganize, just fine tune! Also, my American cousin lives(for over 20 years) in Rome, and agrees that Italians could do better in the organization of their monuments and Museums. The exception being the Borghese, which has excellent "crowd control". Also the "August" factor was probably in effect, it is "off-season" there and elsewhere in many parts of Europe. Judy <BR>ps. just because someone finds fault with something does not denote displeasure or dissatisfaction, IMHO.

I can't believe how people are responding to this posting. Hello people...the Vatican is in Italy, not the United States! We are lucky we get to see any of the art there at all! Why not focus on the fact that you DID get to see some of it, instead of how the system could be more accomodating to visitors and how Americans could perfect the management. No wonder Americans have a bad reputation in Europe.
