VAT refund confusion - Moving city to city via train

Hi, I'll be travelling to London, Paris & Amsterdam (last stop) but via thalys/eurostar. Pls advise how should i go about claiming my VATs as all that I've found online are for airport claims.

You can only claim a VAT refund when you are leaving Europe. Since you are apparently not leaving Europe, you are not eligible for a refund.

Hi there, sorry i forgot to mention I'm travelling from Singapore. I'll be flying into Amsterdam and leaving from Amsterdam.

Am i able to claim the VAT for purchases in London and Paris upon leaving Amsterdam?

yes - provided you have obtained the forms when you purchased the goods. You can only claim for items you are taking outside the EU so restaurants, travel & accommodation are excluded.

And you may be asked to produce the goods to prove you are exporting them, so they need to be in your carry-on.

oh okay so as long as i have the relevant forms i can actually claim VAT @ my last EU stop (i.e. Amsterdam Schiphol) before heading back to Singapore?
