Valencia 1Q trip?

Hello! We are thinking of travelling to Valencia for four or five weeks in 2023 and we would like to stay in an AIRBNB flat.

We are a couple in our 70's and we are interested in the beach but also cultural things and relaxing.

Do you think Valencia is a city where you can find interesting things about culture, how about relaxing, does it have all the amenities a couple of our age needs, anything we should know about car rentals, accommodation and the best places to visit in the city?

Hey!

Valencia is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture, and it would be a great destination for your trip.

The city is known for its historical and cultural sites, such as the cathedral which is home to the Holy Grail, the Central Market, a famous market for fresh produce and seafood, and the City of Arts and Sciences, a complex of futuristic buildings that houses a planetarium, an opera house, and a science museum.

You might also enjoy visiting the Colón Market, a modernist building that was designed by the famous architect and Valencian Natxo Cecilia. Valencia also has a great beach and it's an ideal place to relax during your trip, the beach is large and clean with all the services and amenities that you might need. Some of the places you can visit is Malvarosa and El Saler, you'll find a lot of restaurants and bars to enjoy Mediterranean food.

Valencia is also a great place for car rental, There are many companies that offer car rentals in the city, and you can easily find one that suits your needs and budget. If you prefer not to rent a car, the city has an extensive public transportation system, including buses and metro, which can take you to all the major attractions.

Regarding accommodations, Valencia offers a wide variety of options, from hotels to apartments, including Airbnbs. Since you're interested in staying in an Airbnb, I would recommend you to look for places that are close to the beach and the city center, that way you can easily walk to the main attractions and enjoy the city.

We stayed in December 2022 in an Airbnb apartment called Cool Lofts close to Malvarrosa beach and the city center and it was great.

Overall, Valencia is a great destination for a couple looking for a mix of culture and relaxation. It offers a wide range of things to see and do and has all the amenities that a couple of your age might need. If you're planning your trip, it's worth checking out the events calendar for the dates of your trip as there are several festivals throughout the year.

Cheers!
