Updated Covid Travel Rules-Spain

I *think this is a silly question, but regarding the updated Covid travel rules in Spain (no more app, no QR codes), will my CDC vaccine card be accepted as proof of vaccination? I keep reading various sites about the rules, and "official proof" seems to be the only explanation.

I assume the vaccine card IS my official proof, and I am completely overthinking this, but I also don't want any unexpected issues upon arrival.

I find this site very useful, originally accessed through the American Airlines site & seems very up to date if the country requirements I'm following is any indication:

https://apply.joinsherpa.com/map?aff...language=en-US

Zoom in & click on Spain.

From the aena.es website (Spain airports)

"As of Tuesday, 20 September 2022, the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) portal, both the website and the mobile applications (APPs), will no longer be operational. It will no longer be necessary to complete the health control form to travel to Spain nor to show the SpTH QR code at the airport of arrival.Passengers on flights from countries outside the European Union or the Schengen Area may be subjected to a health check that includes a visual check of their physical condition and temperature taking with non-contact thermometers or thermographic cameras."

We'll continue to carry our vaccination cards with us in our passport holders.

The use of masks continues to be required on public transportation.
As of today, the Ministry of Health has not yet lifted that requirement, but it may (?) be lifted in a few weeks, say newspaper reports, depending on the incidence level.

According to the local.es, the health screenings (visual and temperature checks) will be dropped at all airports on October 22.

Not related to Covid, but another hurdle to leap: from 2023 visitors to the EU will be required to apply for an ETIAS (a visa waiver permit). I don't know when you are flying, but keep this in mind. It's not mentioned on that Sherpa site because it's not 2023 yet.

We're traveling in November, so no ETIAS yet. I had double-checked on those dates, as I knew it was coming up soon.

That's interesting! I hadn't seen that change. From what I have read (and what our airline requires), non-EU arrivals still need to provide either proof of vaccination, a negative test, or proof of recovery.

I guess a vaccination card is all the proof we need? When I booked our flights, the health forms were still required, so I think I'm just overthinking it all, haha. Just don't want to miss something obvious.

Yes, for now, that's all you need---your vaccination card. And yes, I did understand that you're going in Nov of this year!
