Dear Catalana:
We've used the airport shuttle twice to get to our Paris hotel from CDG (haven't tried hotel pick up with them).
They were very prompt & it was so easy to use. Cost something like $18 each (with no extra charge for luggage).
Would certainly recommend the shuttle!

Used them last December. Other than figuring out how to use the phone in CDG it was a snap both ways. They were even 10 minutes early the morning of our return flight! [Granted it was something like 6:30am!] I'd use them again - now I just need to plan another trip to Paris!

For information: their toll-free phone number (to book in advance, pay by credit card) from US is 1.888.426.2705; they are currently quoting a rate of $18 per person for 2 or more, $22 for one, additional group discounts. Those prices are each way. E-mail [email protected]; web: www.airportshuttle.fr

Just FYI, I made res. this AM for the shuttle and was quoted 178FF total for 2 of us arriving 6/6. At the current exchange of 7.03 this works out to approx $25 USD total. A great deal in my eyes, especially given the train strike in France (See the IHT site for details).

I just used them last week! They were recommended to me at his site. They were a little late picking us up at CDG to call them twice. But we also used them to take us from our hotel to CDG and they were right on time and left us plenty of time to make our flight. Overall....I would say they were great. We would definitely use them again!

We
called them the day before we left for
home and they picked us up at our hotle
and took us to Orly. No Problems with
service or cost.

Lupe, CDG is waaaay out of the city; if you were to get a several-day pass which included CDG, you'll pay a fortune (and only need it twice).

Buy your pass for the metro when you get into the city (available at metro stations)for zones 1-2. As an alternative, you can buy a carnet (10 tickets for the price of 7). For the trip to/from the airport, take the RER (buy a r/t ticket) or the Shuttle or a taxi or, if there are several of you, check into arranging for a car/driver to pick you up upon arrival.

We used the shuttle recently (a group of five). They waited for us when our luggage took forever to appear at the carrousel. A quick trip to the apt that we had rented. For our return to CDG, the shuttle appeared promptly and we had a memorable trip to the airport; saw the sights for the last time and observed interesting traffic patterns and gridlock. The driver was very patient with the traffic and fortunately we had enough time so weren't concerned about making our flight. I highly recommend this service. Much more convenient than the train and very reasonable!

Went to Paris last spring and used The Airport Shuttle and were very pleased with the service! They were at the airport right away to pick us up, and were very good about hotel pick-up, also. Cheaper than the taxi we took on a previous Paris trip and very convenient. Call ahead and book it!

I got the idea of the shuttle from Fodors, used it two weeks ago, and was very pleased. It was simple, reasonable, and a great relief to have waiting for us.

On the return trip we were coming from out of town, and took the train direct from Lyon to CDG. This also worked well, and allowed us to bypass Paris onthe return trip.

Used the shuttle the end of May and was very pleased. The best part-we charged the bill on visa ahead of time and didn't have to worry about converting to ff in the airport-a good thing because there wasn't any money in the ATM machines, they were on strike!! Just remember that it helps to get to the airport ahead of time so you might want to fudge your departure time just a bit in case they have to pick up someone else that same day.

Go for the shuttle. I made reservations early June for a pickup at CDG between 2 & 4 PM after returning the car on 25 June. Cost, about $12.50 each. Service excellent both directions and the driver helped with the luggage in and out of the only 5 minutes late.

After hearing some comments on this board,I was a bit concerned about using this shuttle, but I have only great things to say about it now. I used it in March, and the entertaining ride into Paris is one of my fondest memories. I gave them a credit card to reserve, but I was told that I could only pay in cash because the driver couldn't take credit cards. After we got our statment, I realized that we had been charged twice, but the problem was resolved quickly. Their customer service was terrific!

I have used the shuttle, twice.
I am not totally sold on it. It is a little cheaper than a taxi. At 89 ff per person for two, it runs 178ff.
A taxi might go 350 ff. So $25 versus
$47. The drawback is that you run the risk of riding all over Paris while the van drops off other passengers. That is good and bad I guess. After an overnight flight with my legs stuck up under my chin because the airlines seem to think such posture is healthy, I am not inspired by a non narrated tour of Paris that takes upwards of 30 minutes extra to deliver me to my hotel. Of course the other argument is that taxis might be hard to find and at least you are able to reserve the van ahead of time. At least the van got me there for a reasonable price.
