Yes, but just for the purpose of starting a debate! In my own experience, I have never managed to get anybody to propose anything better when they are criticizing what they do not like. Modern architecture is always going to clash with anything old nearby. When Haussmann tore down 60% of Paris, he totally ignored the outcry of horror from the classicists.
