Uffizi reservations

Has anyone been to the Uffize in October? Long lines at that time of year? Reservations suggested? Thanks

Reservations almost always suggested.
You might luck out late in the day if you want to keep it loose, otherwise just call for a reservation, or ask your hotel to do it, even after you get there.

I agree that reservations are always suggested. You don't have to use them if you get there and there is no line.

You can find reservation info by searching for the "Helpful Information Italy" thread. Or, perhaps Ira will chime in here with the exact info.

Maybe this will help: We went to Uffizi March 2004, there were NO lines. However, not knowing and not to miss the chance, we called just before departing to make a reservation. When we arrived and saw no waiting, we went to regular ticket line and saved the extra cost of the reserved ticket. Best of both worlds, how's that? BTW, I'm kinda recalling that they do not take credit cards. Have the cash on hand. Enjoy, it is great!

Wish I had thought of not using my reservations when I was there last year, the two lines were about the same length.
