Wondering too. I get unnerved by personal attacks.
I do it too from time to time but try to keep it on one thread at a time ;-)
Bah tonight I sleep in burgundy eat in a nice restaurant and will buy 2-3 crates of burgundy wine.
Life can be worse. Let us all drink a good glass !
Amen. Peace. Love. Buddha Krishna. Wine. Hips.

These threads and countless others like it get "so horribly off-track" because people have nothing better to do than amuse themselves and are using any forums they can get their hands on because they are bored with their Facebook and Twitter accounts - and their lives. I am amazed to see the same names on dozens of travel sites, and can easily recognize someone with multiple screen names, too. Really - don't some of you have lives to lead?
Personal attacks originate from the person who starts insulting someone else. Anyone who feels insulted has the right - maybe even the obligation - to fight back.

Hmm, don't give up so fast, fuzz. Yours was the first insulting post on this thread. And I don't say that as if it's all bad. My feeling is that false piety and indignation are more boring than anything else, and boredom is in fact the enemy, is it not?
Anyway, Whathello wins for living the best life and inspiring jealousy in us all. Burgundy is the ultimate expression of...well, everything. Cheers!

I counted this one on May 1:
<Uber is for spoiled children who think they are more special than anyone else.>
And then this one on May 2:
<NewbE is apparently just lurking on these forums for the entertainment value. And not the brightest bulb in the socket, either.>
Again, I am not outraged or insulted, but do let's try to keep track!
