Barbara:

I've used USAirways at least 16 times over the past 3 years. They have a decent flight. The Business Class is very nice, but I have gone coach as well. To me, either way I end up where I want to be and I am just so satisfied to be able (Health and Financially) to see so many places in this world, it really doesn't matter if something is better or not quite as good as another. Oh well I am going on ... Sorry! USAirways is fine.

Barbara: I usually fly either US Airways or American for business and mainly US Airways for leisure.

I log around 100,000 miles each year and have my share or "travel tales" for both airlines. Some of them were equipment related, but usually it was weather related problems.

US Airways offers convenient flights and good prices to Europe. I was disappointed to learn that the Pittsburgh-Amsterdam run was discontinued, but otherwise it works for us. I like the 767's and the counterpart A319's, as well. We really can't complain as we took an "E-Saver" to Paris in '98 for $175.00 R/T and had a great time. Can't go wrong for that price.

My only complaint is that US Airways wants to charge $5.00 for those cheesy headphones on trans-continental flights. For that fare (Business, Pittsburgh to Seattle, about $1100.00), you'd think that they would throw those in, but no way. Oh well.

I generally hate USAir in the U.S. (we're held hostage here in Philadelphia as they own >60% of the market here) but I've found them to be very good on overseas flights. I've flown USAir to Paris and London. Until last year at least they've flown 767s which are great because they're a 2x3x2 configuration (fewer middles). Also, I've never been charged for headphones on an international flight (maybe previous poster was talking about domestic US flights with the $5 charge). I've been as happy with USAir overseas as BA.
