Tylenol One in Europe

Is Tylenol One available over the counter in most European countries? (Or the generic substitute?) Is it like in Canada where it is available without a prescription, but you have to ask at the counter to receive. Thanks

What is Tylenol One compared to straight Tylenol? Also, Tylenol in Europe goes under the name of Paracetamol [sp?] I believe.

Paracetemol yes in Europe. Is Tylenol One with Codeine? How much? My packages of Paracetemol from various countries, including the UK, only has 8mg Codeine. Have to take at least four to come up to the Codeine-3 available in the US with prescription only. But in a crunch you take what you can get. And I clear off the shelves overseas wherever Paracetemol w/codeine is sold over-the-counter.

If the exact formulation matters to you - bring your own with you. Meds in europe are often slightly different than In north america - either in strength or in inert ingredients - which can make a difference to some people (allegies).

At the Boots pharmacy in London, I purchased Paracetamil $ Codeine Caplets. They contain 8mg of codeine and 500 mg of Paracetamol, which I believe is like Tylenol.
I had to ask the pharmicist for it but did not need a prescription.

I always thought Tylenol w/ Codine was Tylenol-3.

Tylenol-3, the most commonly prescribed in the US, has 30 mg of codeine, whereas Tyleonol-1 has less than 10. Tylenol-4 has 60 mg.
