Two weeks in Paris
My husband and I were scheduled to spend our 25th wedding anniversary (Sept 11, 2001) in New York - nothing more to say. We have finally settled on Paris in May;11-25th. I have read all the posts and have spent countless hours searching out apartments and hotel rooms but am now desperate to know if someone can tell me "specifically" where I should be calling. I have decidedthat we want to stay in either the 1st, 4th, or the 5th arrondissement. We would rather stay in an apartment on a bit larger size as my husband's brother may join us for a few days. I know I have left it late but if someone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

Hello Beverley:

You better hurry and make your reservation. The only good thing is June
starts the real busy season.

I spent two weeks in Paris three years ago in September
and stayed on the Ile St. Louis which
is the Island on the other side of Notre Dame(ILe la Cite) I stayed in a apartment 4th district right between the
left and right bank of Paris the Perfect spot. I made my reservations
through Barclay International out of NY.
barclayweb.com Some one in Paris met me
and my friend at the apartment with the keys and the prices were reasonable.
The longer you stay the cheaper it got. One week one price, 2 weeks cheaper.
Good luck and have a great time. We even did 3 side trips to Hornfluer in Normandy,Ile de Re in SW France and Amsterdam and still had plenty of time in Paris. The above trips were all day trips. Ellen
