Two days in Cannes, what to see????

Hi all!

On march, I will be on my honeymoon and our tour includes two days (one night) in Cannes. I´m am not really so happy about spending all two days in Cannes. I would rather prefer small villages like Menton, Eze, Villefranche-sur-mer, St. Paul de Vence, Grasse. Of course I know I couldn´t see all those in two days but I would apprecite any help about day trip suggestions....

Thank´s in advance.

If you go to Cannes, a "must" is to visit: St. Paul de Vence, Mougin, visit Maeght Foundation and Leger Musee.
Eze is very close to Cannes too, and has wonderful views. At nigth go to Juan Les Pins, the ambiance is super, better than the sofisticated Cannes...
Have a nice time!

If you're willing to splurge, have lunch at Colombe d'Or in St. Paul de Vence. Lunch on the terrace with umbrellas (weather permitting), doves fluttering, or within, with Matisses and Picassos on the walls (they paid in paintings). Heaven.

You can take a bus to train to Monte Carlo, which is really beautiful, or go to Nice for a day, also a great city. I particularly enjoyed the Picasse musuem in Antibes - that's a nice day trip from Cannes too.

If only two days I'd just rent a car and take the magnificent drive down to St. Tropez (2 hours relaxed driving each way). There are lots of great little places to stop and see. Then realx in Cannes and the next day go to Eze which is on the way to Monte Carlo (also 2 hours). You can stop at some great places on the coast on the way back. You'll get a fabulous overview of the entire French Riviera this way and still have time to relax in Cannes on the best beaches in the area.
PS-I'd stay out of Nice as it's a big dirty city.

Just returned from a month in Provence which finished up with 3 days in Antibes. All I could think about as I walked along the port and the route along the water behind the Picasso museum was what a wonderful romantic place it would be for a honeymoon. And it's only a 15 minute train ride from Cannes.
