No personal but lots of time in Italy and I'd never ride a scooter in cities where scooters often IME act like crazed maniacs - for the countryside on roads less traveled yes but where do you plan to scoot?

Hi CB,

Are you an experienced and skilled operator of a scooter, or do you have a death wish?

BTW - none

Countryside only. No city riding.

Make sure the Vespa or whatever has enough power if going on side roads thru say Tuscany if you want to get to the top of the hill towns crown. And yes have you ever ridden a scooter before - if yes and experienced no problem if no it's like learning to drive in Manhattan or SF.

Keep topping your thread before it sinks - someone may know about that company but few I think. Good luck - see if helmets are included and insurance, etc.

I have no scooter experience specifically. My husband of course has experience, but me not so much. It's just a thought. I wanted a bit more info or a personal recommendation. My heart isn't set on it, I am just exploring my options.

here's topping your thread to see if any Fodorite has any personal experience with that company or with riding Vespas around.
