Tuscany in September

Any advice on packing a wardrobe for Tuscany mid September? Summer type or fall type of clothing? Or, maybe both. We will be in Florence and then traveling around the rest of Tuscany. I assume it will be warm during the day and cool at night. Maybe some of you have traveled there during this time and will have good suggestions. Thanks for your help!

We were there in September a couple of years ago. Shorts during the day, and slacks/pants in the evenings. Bring a couple of sweaters and a windbreaker.

4mimi: We were in Tuscany last September and I wished that I had brought at least one long sleeved top. It was cooler than I thought it would be. A waterproof windbreaker would be best also along with an umbrella if I remember correctly. Have a great time.
