Ana, do a search on this forum for Tuscany villa - should be lots of info.We were there at the end of October and the weather was delightful with highs in the high 70's. We had 16 days of sunny weather and two overcast dreary days in Venice. There was a LOT of rain after we left. I would think you will have good weather.

Hi Ana,

We've been in Tuscany during the first week of October for the past 3 years. The weather has run the gamut from warm and summerlike to overcast, rainy & cool. Best advice is to be prepared for most anything. I liken it to the October weather here in New England.

Dear Ana,
If you do a search on the subject, you will find a lot of discussions and recommendations on the subject. One company we have used several times is www.rentvillas.com (last time we rented "le terrazze", an apartment atop a 14th century palazzo with 360-degree views of Florence, it was a true dream). They are Italy specialists and have a large selection of properties in Tuscany, at reasonable prices compared to other companies we checked. The owner Suzanne is an italophile and I suggest you contact her direct, she has visited all the properties and can describe them and help you make a choice. Their phone is 1-800-726-6702.
Tuscan weather in October varies, it can be cold in the North but pleasant in the South, again Suzanne will be able to talk to you about it and the best areas and places to stay.
