Tuscany Hotel Recommendation

Hello all....my husband and I are going to be in Tuscany end of June/early July and will be looking for a place to stay. We are coming into Florence and at some point want to take a trip to Montalcino so somewhere in between would be great...we are looking for someplace in a beautiful area that is charming and quaint...maybe in Pienza or Chianti??? Any suggestions would be most helpful.

I have been to Tuscany several times but have not stayed in this hotel. A freind is going in September and has booked this place -

Looks great in the hills by Siena.....

Have fun planning -

Hallo M,

How about relaxing in the beautiful Chianti Region? For a nice place to stay you should look at: www.SienaCity.com

Have fun!

Why not stay in Montalcino??
I usually split my Tuscan stays into two locations. Chianti for the north and Montalcino,Pienza, etc area for the other.
Since your goal is Montalcino, spend a night there.

Castello di Velona is indeed a wonderful spot. If you're looking for a smaller more intimate spot that is a little closer to the towns of Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano, check out our new hotel property. I live in Pienza and to be clear, I am the owner, so of course I am biased.
