You will need to be more specific, i. e., are you interested in a particular region? any particular transportation needs? Things like that. Also, obviously each of these must have a website - if they appear comparable, then it is because they are resonably close to all being fine & there is a good chance you can't go wrong with anyone. I've been cruising this blog for a while now and one thing that does NOT pop up are stories that start with "I would have had a great time in Tuscany, except I didn't choose my lodging wisely" Just pick one and rock with your choice.

I'm not personally familiar with any of these places. But Castello di Volpaia and Vignamaggio are both in Chianti, right? And Fonte Bertusi is close to Pienza. Use location to help you decide - do you want to be in the Chianti area, or further south? What are you planning to do while in Tuscany, and where?

I've stayed at Fonte Bertusi 5 times (and plan on returning), 1-2 week trips, and, well, love it. There are plenty of small towns/villages to visit in the area and the landscape is beautiful. I also have enjoyed many hikes from town to town.
I also have stayed in Chianti and it was lovely, but not as stunning as the landscape near Pienza.
I would choose Fonte Bertusi for the location. Let me know if you have any specific questions about FB or the area- I am happy to help.

We want to enjoy the country, visit and explore small villages, drink vino, maybe a cooking class, eat lots of wonderful food, drink more vino, and whatever else comes our way. We have a car. We are down to either Fonte Bertusi or Vignamaggio. Both have a two bedroom apartment which will accomodate us. I don't know if Chianti or Pienza is a better area for this holiday. I do want accomodations on the upper end of nice. Do I need to think about weather..are the areas similar enough? Zoecat, the apartment in FB is Il Tramonto. Thanks!
