I am traveling to Greece and Turkey in april with my wife and 2 sons. We are all US citizens. Are there any visa requirements for Turkey?

Yes, there is a visa requirement. The visa is $45 USD each. We bought it on the ferry from Rhodes to Marmaris - it didn't have to be purchased in advance. We did need US $ (we're Canadian, but always carry some US cash). <BR> <BR>We loved Greece, but Turkey was amazing. From what I've read, the visas are easily purchased at the airport upon arrival, so no need to worry about getting them before you go. I'm also going to Turkey, so it's something I've paid attention to. <BR>

It might be worth checking what denomination notes you can use. <BR> <BR>The visa for a UK citizen is £10. We can pay in £5 or £10 notes, but we can't use a £20 note to pay for 2, for example.

USA citizens must purchase a visa and as mentioned, it costs $45 per person. They will only accept cash---so you will need $180 in cash for the four of you.
