Turin in Nov - truffles and wine
I usually plan ahead for longer trips, but this one will be a short one, just for a week or so, with no set plans or schedule. We'll fly in and out of Milan, and we will spend 5 full days in Turin and the last 2 in Milan. We will not have a car (most likely), and plan to just explore the town, take leisurely walks, eat and drink. Which brings me to....I need recommendations please, for:
- a day tour with truffle hunting and lunch that involves, of course, truffles
- a day tour for Barolo/Barbaresco wine tasing, with lunch
- restaurants in Turin that have truffles on the menu, but are not Michelin restaurants
Anything else that we (couple in our mid 50s) must do in the area that we can do without renting a car (small tour is fine) and will not require a 6 am wake up.
We'll have 2 nights, so 1 full day in Milan, and I think the Duomo and the Last Supper will fill it. But if you have restaurant recommendations, please share. Thank you.
