Tulip tour in Holland

Tulip tour? We are going to arrive in Amsterdam on Saturday morning. After renting a car at the airport we would like to take ourselves on a tulip tour in the country side. Any help with our route.

Take the "Den Haag" exit from the airport (A4) and after about 10 km you will see signs with "Keukenhof". This will get you to the Lisse / Hillegom area where the best tulip fields are.
Have a nice trip.
For those without cars, there is a special train (painted with tulips) that runs out of Amsterdam's Central Station to Keukenhof. It's a very easy/short trip.

Even if you're not particularly into gardens or flowers, it is a must-see, I think.

Steve, thanks a bunch for that information. I have gone crazy trying to find out how to get there on the web. I should have known to post a question here!
Happy to help. Here are more details:

You can get round-trip tickets and a timetable for this tulip train from the VVV (visitor's bureau) office right across the street from Amsterdam's Central Station.

From what I remember, the trip takes about an hour. It's a great sight as fields of yellow, then red, then white flowers whiz by your window.

Once you get to the Keukenhof train station, you're kind of on your own (at least we were.) It's a ~15-20 min walk to the garden entrance. We were told that there was also a bus or bike rentals, but we never saw them -- possibly because of the rain.
