Tuileries Metro stop question
Is there an elevator at the Tuileries stop? Or lots of steps? Trying to decide if we can handle taking the Metro from Gare de Lyon or should opt for a cab. We don’t have tons of luggage but it is heavy to haul up lots of stairs, and that information would help in making the decision. Thanks!

There is just one exit at Tuileries, no elevator or escalator. However, metro line 1 was built using the "open trench" system along rue de Rivoli, so it is just under the surface of the street and going up one flight of steps should not be an ordeal. Or else you need to pack lighter.

I think the buses might be better for you. I do ok going up but those coming down are hard on the knees. It is a lot of pressure on the knees even with a bag weighing ten pounds. I saw this young tiny lady hauling a huge 36 inch suitcase and groaning loudly. At least I don't groan. My brother used uber or lyft the last trip in January.
