Just reported on Sky News-Union leaders have announced strikes on London Underground on New Years Eve and January 4.
The strikes will start at 12 noon on New Years Eve and finish at noon on New Years Day then again 21:00 on January 3 ending at 21:00 on January 4
Meanwhile , aspecial service will be run on the Piccadilly Line on Christmas Eve because of a strike by members of the drivers union Aslef.

Dealine extended for an hour so there is hope that heads will get bashed together. These are about the New Years Eve and Jan 3rd strikes by the signal workers.
The Piccadilly strike (about something else entirely) is still on although LT are saying they WILL run a limited service between Heathrow and Central London with trains every 8 minutes. We shall see.

Good luck evreybody!

Not sure who won the bet on this, since the Christmas Eve limited strike took place, but the New Years Eve (and subsequent) wider strikes have been called off.

No matter, that is good news for New Year's revelers and others.
