Trip to Greece late October
Hello !
We want to travel to Greece from October 29 to November 7 this year. We will start in Athens, where we want to stay for 3 nights. After that we want to travel to Delphi - Olympia - Mystras - Nafplion and back to Athens.
During my research in various guides and on the internet, nearly all itineraries travel the other way around. Most start with Nafplion and end with Delphi. Is there a reason for this.
We are also thinking about skipping Mystras and adding Meteora Monastries to our trip. Which one would be better ???
We only have about 5-6 days for our roundtrip !!!!
Thanks for any suggestions !!!!!!

If you are in the southern Peloponnese don’t miss Ancient Messene, near Kalamata. It’s a huge and very impressive archeological site that doesn’t get the crowds of the sites in Athens and around Nafplio. If you are in that area and continue by rental car to Delphi over the Rio-Antirro Bridge you will pass near Olympia.
Your trip does sound rushed, so something will probably have to be cut, and I don’t know of an advantage one way or the other which way round you go. Mystras and Meteora would be the outliers, but If your interests include the Byzantium period you may not want to miss them. No decision would be a wrong one, you can’t fit everything into a short trip.
